24 January 2016 under 11 Sportshall Athletics – Regional Finals

4 teams of Somerset athletes gave their all at the Regional Sportshall Athletics Finals. The Spartan girls’ team was very strong and they were so unlucky not to have clinched the title - just 7 points behind the winners Avon! The boys teams performed extremely well - they weren't the strongest boys’ teams we have had, but they all stepped up to the mark and raised their game hugely. All teams were very impressive and were healthily competitive!! They were good to be with and the support from parents was fantastic.

The Team Managers of Chloe Hunt & Lauren Rousell (who coach at SSDC Junior Athletics Academy - also YOAC athletes), Simon De Wilton (TAC) and Andy Rumley (MAC) did an amazing job of organising the athletes and supporting them throughout the competition.

Many thanks to our T-shirt sponsors: YOAC, TAC, MAC.
