2014 County AA Championships

Once again athletes who train with ACE have achieved some awesome results in the County Championships - well done to all the athletes who took part.

In a nail biting 75m  hurdles race, decided on the photo finish picture, Natalia Isherwood came 2nd by one hundreth of a second with a time of 12.04s to Yeovil’s Lauren Rousell! Both athletes have been nursing injuries over the past few months so it looks like the future will bring some exciting races for the two gilrs, especially when they compete head to head! In the same race, newcomer Emilia Tanner came 4th with a time of 12.70s.

However in shot Natalia’s putt of 10.68m earned her 1st place and she came 2nd in javelin. With combined events in mind, Natalia went on to clock a time of 2:36.42 in the 800m.

Emilia up against Natalia came 3rd in shot with a distance of 8.92m

Tired from several weeks of competitions, and exams, Georgia Silcox was unable to reach her usual standards but still managed 2nd place in both high jump and long jump.

Lydia Guest had a great day with three 1st places in high jump, long jump and triple jump!

Sadly the only Academy boy in the competition was Toby Sauter who came 1st in triple jump and 3rd in the 80m hurdles race.

Bristol & West AC based Academy athlete Nikki Fortune had a good time at the Avon County Championships, coming 2nd in 75m hurdles, and 2nd in shot.

Great results…awesome!!!
